DivahaR

Divahar is an Armenian Symphonic Black Metal band, founded in 2009 in Yerevan, Yerevan. The band recorded its first album, Divarise in 2014 with, as a guest, Attila Csihar of Mayhem. "DivahaR - The first female black metal band in Armenia!!!" That is what the first public post on the band's Facebook reads. Let's be honest. Female-fronted bands are often awful. It is either because they try to compensate for a lack of vision with sexist gimmicks, or because there are not enough of these bands for a large number of good ones to exist. This is not a good start, made worse by their insistence on spelling their name with a capital "R" at the end, the gothic fashion show in their promo photos and the extremely clichéd videos featuring angels with broken wings.
