Winger

Winger is an American heavy metal band, originating from New York. It achieved great commercial success from 1988 until the explosion of the grunge wave in 1991. The band was initially to be called Sahara but was hastily renamed Winger just a few days before the release of the first album, the name Sahara being a registered trademark of another band. Classed in the glam metal category that swept across the United States in the late 1980s. After splitting up in 1993, the band reformed in 2006.
