Litham

Litham was created in July 1996. The band's music is tinged with traditional Algerian music such as Chaabi. The story begins in March 1994 when Yacine (guitarist) and Redouane (bassist) got together to play Metal with Samir (guitar/vocals) in a band named Neanderthalia (the first historic Algerian Metal band). In September of the same year, Sabri (drummer) joined the line-up. In July 96, Redouane, Yacine and Sabri decided to leave Neanderthalia to found Litham. Five months after Litham's birth, a fourth member came along, Lamine (guitarist), to complete the line-up. The quartet began performing in universities and concert halls such as Ibn Zeydoun, El Aurassi, l'Afrique, L'Atlas and other venues around the country.
