Sirenia

Sirenia, a Norwegian gothic metal band, came into being in 2001, under the aegis of Morten Veland following his departure from his former band Tristania, of which he was at once founder, composer and lyricist and in which he also served as guitarist and singer, thus bringing a new contribution to the rock-metal-gothic scene. Thus, when Morten Veland left his first band due to musical disagreements and personal differences, he nevertheless remained faithful to the atmospheric genre, and, bubbling with new ideas, he devoted his time to this new project, investing in new equipment and spending a lot of time in the studio. In mid-November 2001, the band arrived at Sound Suite Studios to record their first album, At Sixes and Sevens.
