Formed in '82, the band toured with Stryper and Pretty Maids. In '89 frontman Michael Voss left Mad Max to form Casanova. The members went their separate ways: drummer Alex Kruse went on to join Jaded Heart and guitarist Juergen Breforth created Tanner. The combo was heard from again in 1999/2000 with the album "Never Say Never" which was more of a joint Voss/Juergen project. Working in parallel as a producer for various artists such as Biss and notably collaborating on the Silver project, Michael Voss decided to reform Mad Max with his companions in 2005. In 2007, the band toured with Axel Rudi Pell. In 2021, Julian Rolinger joined the band as the new singer and took part in the album 'Wings Of Time' released in September 2022.
