Linkin Park

Linkin Park is an American rock/metal band from Agoura Hills, California. It was formed in 1996, and is currently composed of Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Rob Bourdon and Joe Hahn. It was propelled onto the world stage as soon as its first album Hybrid Theory was released in 2000. Sold in more than 24 million copies and certified diamond record by the RIAA. In 2003, the release of the album Meteora, followed by the DVD Live in Texas, consolidated their place as a flagship band. Feeling they had explored all the directions offered by nu metal and rapcore, the band decided to turn to other genres on its following album, Minutes to Midnight (2007), which topped the sales in 32 countries and ranked as the best entry of the year in the United States.
