Tenebre

Tenebre was formed in 1996 after the dissolution of Flegma, as a few members of that band wished to pursue a different direction. Flegma was more or less a dirty thrash band, but Tenebre's sound is firmly anchored in a bluesy, dark and sweaty hard rock/metal, with a good reference point being Danzig at his peak. Indeed, even former singer Kalle Metz sometimes crooned, just like Glenn himself, although more often than not his voice was a bit gruffer. There are some very good tracks here, such as "Thirteen" and "Tombola Voodoo Master" with its eminently catchy chorus, moodier tracks like "Alignment" and "The Undertaker", and my favourite "No Wrong".
