Deadlock

Tobias Graf, Sebastian Reichl and Johannes Prem formed Deadlock in 1997 in a pure death metal style. After a first self-titled record, it drew the attention of the music press for its EP I'll Wake You When Spring Awakes on Winter Recordings. The first album that followed, The Arrival, saw the arrival of synthesizers. Likewise, the singer Sabine Scherer appeared with her clean vocals. Alongside a split with Six Reasons to Kill, the band signed a multi-album contract with the label Lifeforce Records, such as its second, Earth.Revolt. A few weeks later, Sabine Scherer became a permanent member.
