High N' Dry

It is not uncommon nowadays to hear of a Maltese artist heading abroad in the hope of pursuing a career overseas. However, in the 1970s and 1980s, when the local music scene was very different from what it is today, things were different. Bassist Gino Micallef and singer Joe Mizzi were among those who took the great leap into the unknown at the time, their experience abroad culminating in a successful stint with the German band High 'N' Dry. Michael Bugeja met the two musicians after the 1988 album Hands Off My Toy was reissued on CD by Scream Records.
