Viper

Viper was formed in 1985, and recorded that same year a first demo titled The Killera Sword. In 1987, the band released its first studio album, Soldiers of Sunrise. In 1989, they released Theatre of Fate, notable for its blend of classical music and metal, which includes a song inspired by Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. Shortly after, however, singer Andre Matos left Viper to finish his musical studies at university in Germany. Upon his return to Brazil, he joined the band Angra. Rather than looking for another singer and bassist, Pit Passarel took back the microphone.
