WebsiteAsia is a rock supergroup formed in 1981 by former members of Yes, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, The Buggles and King Crimson. Asia's music contains progressive elements underpinned by considerable technicality. The band's first album, Asia, includes the hit Heat of the Moment, no. 4 in the United States. In 1983, Alpha hit the shelves, Don't Cry exploded the charts and Open Your Eyes followed close behind. Asia's original line-up consisted of keyboardist Geoff Downes (ex-Buggles and ex-Yes), guitarist Steve Howe (ex-Yes), drummer Carl Palmer (ex-Atomic Rooster and ex-ELP) and bassist John Wetton (ex-King Crimson).
