Cryptic Shift

Cryptic Shift (formerly stylized Crÿptic Shift) is an English extreme metal band formed in Leeds, West Yorkshire, in 2013. They have released two EPs and two demos, with their first album, Visitations from Enceladus, appearing on 4 May 2020 on Blood Harvest Records. In an article in The Quietus magazine, the album was described as "essential, and proof that Britain has a worthwhile contribution to make to this new wave of progressive death metal." The band released its first demo, Old Chapel Demos, in 2014. Shortly afterwards, Castle left the band, which led Bradley to become the vocalist and to recruit Henry Parker as an additional guitarist. Around that time, the band experienced what Bradley considers a true rebirth, adopting a more accomplished sound and a far more positive state of mind.
