Dokken

The story of Dokken begins in 1979 with an early line-up that took the name The Boys, but quickly changed its name to become simply Dokken. The band, then made up of Don Dokken (guitar and vocals), George Lynch (guitar), Greg Pecka (drums) and Juan Croucier (bass), recorded a six-track demo, Back In The Streets. In 1981, Dokken signed its first major deal with Carrere before recruiting Peter Baltes on bass and Mick Brown on drums; the new line-up went into the studio in Germany. In 1982, the first album Breaking The Chains was released and immediately enjoyed great success in Europe.
