Killer is a Swiss Heavy Metal band, formed in 1979 in Solothurn. The band recorded its first album, Ladykiller, in 1981. It was followed by: Thriller in 1982, Stronger Than Ever in 1983, Young Blood in 1985. After a split in 1986, Killer reformed in 2017 and released Screamgunn in 2019. The leader and guitarist Crown Kocher (real name: Edgar Kocher) was active in the Swiss cult band Kaktus before leaving it in April 1979 along with singer Mark Broman (real name: Markus Brönnimann), guitarist Many Maurer, bassist Beat "Brian" Kofmehl and drummer Ali Allemann to found the band Killer. According to Broman, they were the first band to use this name, common on the metal scene. After recording the single Crazy Daisy, directed by Chris von Rohr, member of Krokus, the band signed a three-album recording contract with Bellaphon.
