Morphia

Morphia is a Dutch death-doom band, originally from Epe, in Gelderland. The band was formed in 1995 and subsequently signed to the local label Fear Dark Records in 2002. After several albums, it split up in 2008. In 1995, Werner Wensink (vocals/bass), Bert Bonestroo (mixing), Martin Koedoot (guitar), Roger Koedoot (guitar), Ernst Jan Lemmen (drums), and Peter Tulder (keyboards) formed Morphia as a death metal band, which was also involved at that time in symphonic doom metal. In 1997, they released a demo CD titled Poison Minded. In 1998, they recorded their first album titled Unfulfilled Dreams, released in 1999.
