Amaran

Amaran is a power metal band formed in 2000 in Stockholm, Sweden. Guitarists Kari Kainulainen and Ronnie Backlund began writing music together, then decided to put a band together. The rest of the band was initially made up of Mikael Andersson (bass), Johanna DePierre (vocals) and Robin Bergh (drums). Their first album 'Promo' was released in 2001. Drummer Robin Bergh left the band for personal reasons in 2004; he was replaced by Hjulström Pär. 2005 saw a string of new members come and go. After Johanna's departure, the band found itself unable to find a replacement, and the band broke up in December 2005.
