Dementor

The black/death metal band Dementor formed as a trio in August 1988. A demo was recorded in 1991 (the year René Blahusiak joined), followed by The Extinction Of Christianity from 1992 and Morbid Infection from 1993. The latter was the band's first work in English, although the second one had been recorded in Slovak before being re-recorded in English. The same year, the band's work appeared on the Necro Metal sampler. A cassette titled The Church Dies appeared in 1994, which earned the band a contract with Immortal Souls, a first official CD and tours in Eastern Europe.
