Battlelore

Battlelore was founded in 1996. At the time, it was Jyri's project. This project often changed its name and had no permanent members, until the summer of 1998, when Jyri devoted himself to it entirely, deciding to launch into his own kind of music under the name Battlelore. Tommi joined him, and Jyri asked his friend Gorthaur (Horna) to take on the role of drummer. On Battlelore's first promo CD, Warrior's Tale, which was recorded in 1999, a few session musicians were used for the clean vocals and synth. Dark Fantasy was sent to labels around the world, sparking the interest of Napalm Records, which became the band's official label.
