Machine Head

Machine Head was founded in 1992 by guitarist Robert Flynn (ex-Violence) and bassist Adam Duce. The band's name has no connection to the album "Machine Head" by Deep Purple. The first album, Burn My Eyes in 1994, mixed by Colin Richardson, is often considered to have contributed to the metal genre as importantly as Reign in Blood by Slayer and Master of Puppets by Metallica. This album immediately earned them success with the metal audience of the old continent. This allowed them, after spending several weeks on the road alongside Slayer on both sides of the Atlantic, to set up their own headlining European tour as early as spring 1995 (with the Swedes of Meshuggah and Mary Beats Jane, the band of future The Haunted singer Peter Dolving, as openers).
