Switchblade was an Australian metal band of five musicians from Sydney, Australia, formed in 2001 and disbanded in 2011. Over the course of their career, they released two albums and played as the opening act for bands such as Slayer, Machine Head, Exodus, Trivium and Nevermore on their respective Australian tours. They also appeared at Metal for the Brain and the Come Together Music Festival. Singer Chris Apps joined the band before the recording of the band's very first demo, but parted ways with the band immediately after the recording.
