Eyefear

EyeFear was founded in Australia in 1994 by Con Papazoglou (guitar), Rob Gorham (bass), Zain Kimmie (drums) and Ken Taylor (guitar). They were joined after a few months by singer Jason Smart. Their first album "Edge Of Existence" came out in 1996 and was acclaimed by the critics. But things seemed to come to a halt when Jason Smart and then Ken Taylor decided to leave the band shortly afterward. However, they were replaced the following year by guitarist Anthony Porchia, then by former Hyperion singer Jimmy Georgopoulos. Seeking to beef up their sound and open up other possibilities for experimentation, the band expanded a bit more by recruiting keyboardist Shiran Manan. Complete again and after 3 years of dormancy, the band released the aptly named self-produced EP "Dawn… A New Beginning".
