Vomitory

Vomitory formed as a musical trio in 1989 in Forshaga, Sweden, with Ronnie Olson on bass, Urban Gustafsson on guitar and Tobias Gustafsson on drums. A little later the band played its first show in 1990, and then decided to recruit Bengt Sund on bass and to have Olson focus on vocals only. The line-up grew with the arrival of Ulf Dalegren on guitar in 1991. With this line-up stable and complete for the time being, the band recorded a self-titled demo on audio cassette that same year. The band built a following through underground music channels and drew the attention of the Swiss record label Witchhunt Records. The label released their demo Moribund on LP in 1993, with the tracks Untouchable Challenge and Undivulged. Thomas Bergqvist would later take the bass position.
