Ross the Boss

Ross the Boss (born 3 January 1954), whose real name is Ross Friedman, was the original guitarist of the Heavy Metal band Manowar, from the band's formation in 1980 until 1988. He was the guitarist of the band Shakin' Street, which was opening for Black Sabbath, when he noticed the band's bass technician, Joey DeMaio. They decided to put together a band together, which quickly became Manowar. Ross the Boss also worked as a guitarist in the proto-punk band The Dictators. In 2005 he formed his own band, Ross The Boss, which would release two albums: New Metal Leader in 2008 and Hailstorm in 2010. The band's style is not without recalling a certain Manowar.
