Dark Funeral

Dark Funeral is a Swedish black metal band. Having produced five studio albums, two EPs (one of them a covers EP) and two live DVDs, the band has become a reference point of the Swedish black metal scene and of black metal in general. The band was founded in 1993 by guitarists Lord Ahriman and Blackmoon in Stockholm. They were soon joined by drummer Draugen and singer/bassist Themgoroth. Dark Funeral is among the first bands of the second wave of black metal and also one of the first Swedish black metal bands (preceded by their Marduk comrades), the first-wave black metal bands being overwhelmingly Norwegian.
