Tigertailz

Formed in the mid-80s in Cardiff (Wales) by singer Steevi Jaimz (a founding member of the bands Treason and Crash KO), guitarist Jay Pepper and bassist Pepsi Tate. A single was recorded with Stephen Pearce, a member of Tokyo Blade, on drums. Tigertailz drew the attention of several labels and a first album came out in '87. But tensions within the band precipitated the departure of Steevi (he would later turn up in St Jaimz); he was replaced by Kim on the album Bezerk, which charted in the top 40 in England. Finchum was replaced by Skinner while the band was in the middle of a fight with its record company and found itself forced to no longer use the name Tigertailz. The album was released under the name Wazbones in Japan and would then be re-released under Tigertailz. In 2007 the album Thrill Pistol came out, but shortly afterwards Pepsi Tate died of pancreatic cancer.
