Manticora

Manticora is a Danish progressive power metal band, originally from Hvidovre. Formed in 1996 by Lars and Kristian Larsen, the band is currently signed to the label Locomotive Music. Their usual lyrical content consists of literature, fantasy, and science fiction. Although they are classified among progressive power metal bands, they have a speed metal influence. The band was formed in 1996 under the name Manticore2 by singer Lars Larsen, guitarist Kristian Larsen and drummer Mads Volf. Shortly afterwards, bassist Rene Nielsen joined the line-up. In 1997, the band changed its name to Manticora. Soon after, they recorded the EP Dead End Solution.
