Genre: Heavy Metal

Country of origin: Belgium

Location: Antwerp

Formed in: 1979

Formed in 1980 by Paul 'Shorty' Van Camp and drummer Leo Felsenstein 'Fat Leo', whose band 'Mothers of Track' had just split up. After several auditions, the band recruited bassist 'Spooky' and decided to remain a trio. After 4 months, Killer released its first recording 'Ready for Hell' on WEA (Warner Bros). At the end of '81, 'Fat Leo' was replaced by Robert 'Double Bear' Cogen, then the album 'Wall of Sound' came out the following year. In '85, the band was preparing to record a first live album at a venue in Antwerpen. Unfortunately, due to financial problems at the Mausolée label, the album was not released. Killer put its career on hold and Shorty took the opportunity to release, in '87, a solo album 'Too wild to tame' under his name Van Camp. In '89, Spooky and Shorty decided to reform Killer with a new drummer 'Rudy Simmons' and a second guitarist 'Jan Van Springel'.
