WebsitePaul Bruce Dickinson (born 7 August 1958) is a British singer, songwriter, airline pilot, fencer, radio presenter and former marketing director, famous for being the vocalist of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden. In 1990, while still a member of Iron Maiden, he recorded his first solo album, Tattooed Millionaire. He put it together in two weeks under the guidance of Chris Tsangarides, producer of Judas Priest's album Painkiller. Tattooed Millionaire, an album made with Janick Gers on guitar, sold 500,000 copies worldwide. In 1992, wishing to renew his previous solo venture and with the support of Rod Smallwood, his manager and that of Iron Maiden, he realised that he had new musical possibilities at his disposal that he imagined he could never introduce into Iron Maiden, and so he decided to leave the band in 1993.

Edison
Also straight out of the imagination of Derek Riggs (Eddie, of Iron Maiden), Edison is a rather easy play on words to name the son of Eddie, Iron Maiden's famous mascot. Yet Edison only ever appears on the album Accident Of Birth.
