Extreme

Extreme is a hard rock/funk metal band created in 1985 in Boston. It disbanded in 1996, then a reunion came about in 2007 for a new album and a world tour in 2008. Its greatest success is the single More Than Words, an acoustic ballad from the album Pornograffitti. After this very convoluted album, the band returns to a simpler style on Waiting For The Punchline. Unfortunately, success is no longer there. The successive singles do not allow the band to establish itself, despite a tour opening for Aerosmith in 1994. Following the band's dissolution in 1996, singer Gary Cherone was briefly part of Van Halen, for the album Van Halen III released in 1998. Extreme is back on the world stage in 2008 with the album Saudades de Rock.
