Meathook Seed is a metal band born from the collaboration of Mitch Harris (Napalm Death) with two members of Obituary (Trevor Perez and Donald Tardy). In 1993, the trio released Embedded, a debut album heavily oriented toward industrial metal. Mitch Harris continued the venture without the Obituary members, with an album much closer to the world of Killing Joke. To record it, he called upon Napalm Death's bassist, Shane Embury, as well as a French singer, Christophe Lamouret, then a member of the band Out.
