In Extremo

In Extremo is a German folk metal and medieval metal band, from Berlin. Formed in 1995, the band uses numerous instruments, some of them handmade, and sings in many languages. Their latest studio album Saengerkrieg reached first place on the Media Control Charts. The band, all of whose original members come from the former German Democratic Republic, is mostly made up of people who had taken part in punk rock bands that were banned under the former socialist regime.
