Pentagram

Mezarkabul or Pentagram is a Turkish metal band formed by Hakan Utangaç and Cenk Ünnü in 1986. It is the first metal band to have had significant success in Turkey (where they are known under the name Pentagram) and to have exported their music beyond its borders. Their compositions incorporate elements of traditional Turkish music. Mezarkabul means "admission to the grave" in Turkish. The band was formed in Bursa in 1986. In 1990, singer Bartu Toptas joined the band so that Hakan could concentrate on the guitar. The quintet thus formed took the name Pentagram. Their first tracks came out in 1990 on the self-titled album "Pentagram". The new line-up continued to play until Bartu decided to leave the band to go and settle in Sweden in March 1992 while they were preparing the album Trail Blazer.
