Avenger

It all began in 1984 when Peter Wagner formed the band Avenger. After releasing 2 records, the album Prayer of Steel and the EP Depraved to Black, Avenger renamed itself Rage and released the album Reign of Fear. The albums then came out regularly at the rate of one per year and the band strung together opening slots on concerts with Running Wild, Udo, Motorhead and also Saxon. From 1988 and the release of Perfect Man, Rage began to meet with critical acclaim in Germany. Today, even though Rage is not the biggest seller in its category, the press never runs out of praise for it and it has a solid fan base.
