Abyssos

Abyssos is a Swedish black metal band, originating from Sundsvall. The band has been compared to the British band Cradle of Filth and to Dissection. All the members of Abyssos have been playing since the early 1990s in various death metal and black metal bands. Andreas Soderlund was formerly a member of the black metal band Hekate, later renamed Sombre. After the demise of Sombre, Soderlund joined Johansson in the band Insalubrious. With Christian Rehn, he began creating songs within Insalubrious. In 1996, the band released its first demo Wherever the Witches Might Fly, on the British label Cacophonous Records.
