Website
Edguy is a power metal band formed in Germany, in 1992. They are influenced notably by Iron Maiden, and their music is close to bands like Helloween, Gamma Ray or Running Wild. They only released their first album, titled Savage Poetry, in 1995. After rather speed-oriented albums ("Vain Glory Opera" in '98 and "Theater of Salvation" in '99), the band returned to a more classic heavy sound, as evidenced by the albums "Mandrake" in 2001 and "Hellfire Club" in 2004. They also released their first best-of, Hall of Flames, in 2004. At the end of 2005 the EP Superheroes was released (also in the form of a DVD), with the very theatrical track Judas At The Opera, and in January 2006 their new album Rocket Ride was released, which would be followed by a tour with the band Dragonforce in North America in October 2008.

The joker

The joker

The Joker appears for the first time on the album Mandrake. At that time, the mascot doesn't yet have a name; you'll have to wait for the album Rocket Ride for the name The Joker to be confirmed by Tobias Sammett.
