Ecliptic

*As of Yet Unknown* is the first full-length album by this band from the eastern United States. Ecliptic is a four-musician outfit, including two guitarists. The project was founded in 1998 by Markus Hampel (vocals and guitars) and Sidney Mortensen (percussion). The cover artwork might lead the listener to believe it is a progressive metal album or perhaps some more obscure metal genre. In reality, these two influences are indeed present in their music. At its core, Ecliptic is a black metal band: you find saturated guitars, raw aggressive vocals and varied rhythms.
