The Angels

The Angels is an Australian hard rock band from Adelaide. It was formed in 1974 and had a lot of success in its country up until the 1980s. It is known abroad under the name Angel City so as not to be confused with the American band Angel. In November 1970, future Angels member John Brewster on guitar, banjo, harp, backing vocals and washboard, and his brother Rick on violin, washboard, jug, backing vocals and percussion formed the Moonshine Jug and String Band, an acoustic band in Adelaide.
