WebsiteAt its beginnings (1985), Wells was a band with no real ambition. It then took on a more professional form under the impetus of drummer Phil "Dobs" Dobler and singer Don Pear, who contacted guitarist Patrick Horlbeck. His arrival (late 1985) gave Wells's style a modern touch. After a few months of intensive rehearsing, Wells recorded a first "demo" in a professional studio (Backstage Studio, Neuchâtel), which allowed it to take part in numerous concerts in French-speaking Switzerland from September 1986 to February 1987. In April 1987, Wells recorded 4 tracks at Backstage Studio, Neuchâtel. The beginning of 1989 was thus devoted to the introduction of the new bassist, Al Duke, a Wells diehard, and to the recording of its first CD: Radioactive.
