Jon Nödtveidt held fast to his Satanist beliefs all his life, which brought him some trouble. However, Jon kept his faith in his beliefs until his suicide, in August 2006, shortly after the band broke up. He was found dead from a gunshot, beside a grimoire (and not a Satanic Bible as the media claimed...) and numerous candles.
