Lars "Ratz" Ranzenberger, known for his work as bassist of the Hamburg power metal band METALIUM, which disbanded in 2011, died in an ultralight aircraft accident in Mallorca on Sunday morning (April 18, 2021). The 53-year-old musician had recently been living in southeastern Mallorca and ran a lighting company called InterLED. Musically, he was active as bassist and producer of the band FYRE.
