On 18 May 2008, she fell into a coma and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank (California, USA) in critical condition. A cyst developed, limiting the flow of blood and oxygen to her brain. After 3 days of struggle, she died from a cerebral hemorrhage on 21 May 2008, at the age of 39.
