Guitarist who, as his name indicates, was the founder of Samson. This band was one of the pioneers of the NWOBHM, but alas remained in the shadow of Iron Maiden. Nevertheless Samson recorded good albums and brought talented musicians to light. The band split up in the 80s before reforming in 2000. Unfortunately Paul Samson's death prematurely put an end to this reunion. He died from cancer.
