He was Ozzy Osbourne's drummer from 1986 to 1993, with whom he became known to the general public. He also replaced Tommy Lee in Mötley Crüe in 2000 for the recording of the album "New Tattoo"; he was unable to take part in the album's promotional tour because of his health. He died on 26 March 2002 at the age of 51.
