Timi Hansen

Timi Hansen, the bassist of MERCYFUL FATE, died following a long fight against cancer. His death was confirmed by his former bandmate, MERCYFUL FATE singer King Diamond. King had written in a Facebook post earlier in the day: "I have just learned that I had lost one of my dearest friends, who had been fighting cancer for so long, in an incredibly courageous way. He was not only my roommate at the beginning of MERCYFUL FATE, but he was always my favorite bassist of all time, and I was lucky enough to be able to visit him at his apartment with other good friends and we spent a wonderful afternoon that will never be forgotten.
