Warrel Dane

The singer Warrel Dane (SANCTUARY, NEVERMORE) died today in São Paulo (Brazil) at the age of 56. The musician is said to have died during the night from cardiac arrest. The guitarist of his solo band, Johnny Moraes, was with the musician when he began to feel unwell around midnight. He explains: "He died during the night. He was in the apartment where he used to stay during the recording of the record (ed. note: his second solo album) when it happened. I gave him cardiac massage and we called the SAMU, who came very quickly, but when they arrived he had already passed away. His health was very fragile because of his diabetes and his problems with alcoholism."
