Aerosmith

Aerosmith is an American rock band formed in 1970 in Boston, sometimes called "The Bad Boys of Boston". Their hard rock style typical of the 70s inspired many rock and metal artists. Aerosmith is one of the most successful rock bands, with 150 million albums sold worldwide, including 67 million in the United States. They hold the record for gold and multi-platinum records for an American band. They placed 21 hits in the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 9 no. 1 hits on Mainstream Rock. They also won 4 Grammy Awards and 10 MTV Video Music Awards (a category in which they are the record holders). They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, and ranked 57th among the 100 greatest artists of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in 2005.
