After Hours

After Hours was formed in 1987 by John Francis (vocals), Tim Payne (lead guitar), Martin Walls (bass), Mark Addison (drums) and Rick Young (keyboards). Shortly afterwards, the band recorded the album 'Take Off', a brilliant piece of classic AOR rock in the finest British tradition. In 1991, three of the members decided to leave the band. Martin emigrated to Canada, Mark went to university, and new keyboardist Andy Nye moved on to another project. This then left singer John Francis and lead guitarist Tim Payne to finish recording the second album. So, with the help of producer Mal Luker and his studio team, they set about making the self-titled album Afterhours.
