WebsiteAngra is a melodic and symphonic Brazilian progressive power metal band created in 1992. The band lost three of its original members in 2000, replaced in 2001. Angra's very first line-up consisted of Andre Matos (vocals, ex-Viper), Rafael Bittencourt (guitar), Kiko Loureiro (guitar), Luis Mariutti (bass) and Marco Antunes (drums). In 2000, because of management problems and musical and personal differences, Andre Matos, Ricardo Confessori and Luis Mariutti left Angra. In 2001, while Matos, Mariutti and Confessori formed the band Shaman, Angra's two guitarists recruited three replacements: bassist Felipe Andreoli, Paul Di Anno's drummer Aquiles Priester, and singer Edu Falaschi.
