Arven

Arven is a German symphonic metal band from Frankfurt am Main. Formed in 2007, their name probably comes from Arwen, the daughter of Elrond in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The band officially split up in 2015. In 2011, Arven signed a contract with the label Massacre Records. Their first album, Music of Light, released on 30 September 2011, received a good critical reception and drew attention to the band. The album was mastered by Sascha Paeth and Michael Rodenberg. The band's second album, Black is the Colour, was released on 23 August 2013. On 3 July 2014 the band announced on their official website and social media that guitarist Ines Thomé was leaving the band to resume studies in the United States.
