Asphyx

Asphyx is a Dutch death metal band formed in 1987 by drummer Bob Bagchus and guitarist Tonny Brookhuis. In 1990, Martin Van Drunen joined the band and recorded "The Rack", the band's reference album to this day, but was replaced by Ron Van Pol in 1992. The band split up a first time in 1994. The band reformed in 1995 with Theo Loomans, the band's singer from 1988 to 1990, then split up again in 2000. Since 2007, the band has reformed and has released two albums in the vein of "The Rack".
